A leader is a person who influence his followers to work together to attain a particular goal. It is important that how the followers of a leader are looking him. They are two types : Non-shared and shared leadership
NON- SHARED/ TRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP
Non-Shared leadership or traditional leadership approach is a autocratic approach where the leader hold the authority and insist his followers to do the same as he decided. In this approach he is the only person who decide and formulate things that has to be performed and the others follows him.
SHARED LEADERSHIP
In contrast, shared leadership is a modern approach that the leader shares his authorities, powers and responsibilities to his followers. Here the leader is giving an opportunity to his followers to work independently, such that people in an organization will be able to lead each other. This will increase the confidence level of the followers and will ready to workhard.

| PERFORMANCE AND FEEDBACKS | It practically done at a annual basis as all managerial functions takes place | As there is a steady communication between all a separate need for feedback and reviews are generally not needed |
These are the common difference between the two approaches. The 2 approaches has its own advantages and disadvantages.
