ADLS refers to the activities of daily living performing by human being to survive. They are the basic task of daily routine or needed by individuals. ADLS must be categorized into different headings like:
1. Personal Hygiene - includes grooming, oral care, hair care, nail care, bathing, cleaning of different body parts.
2. Dressing - includes individual intellectual process to select or wear clothes.
3. Eating and drinking - includes the ability of feed.
4. Moving - include individual ability to move from one place to another.
5. Continence management - includes the individual ability to use bathroom.
6. Environment safety - includes maintaining a safe and heathier environment.
7. Communication - include that individual is able to communicate with others.
8. Breath - include individual capacity of breathing to survive.
9. Sleeping- includes individuals sleep tendency.
10.Sexual capabilities - includes individuals desires for sexual activities.
11.Physical activities - includes individuals daily working capacity like playing, walking etc.
12.Physiological condition - includes individual body fuctioning to adjuct in environment.

All these parameters were used to assess the ADLS parameters of any individuals. If any of these area were affected, that means person is unable to perform his/her daily acyivity. That kind of persons need assistance to perform their daily livivng activities.
