c) Is dead
EEG or electroencephalography is a method which helps in recording the electrical activity within the brain. It helps in measuring the fluctuations in the voltage with help of the electrodes and hence it helps in identifying different brain disorders or diseases. The test is done for detecting the electrical activity with help of metal disc or electrode that is attached to the scalp. The brain electrical activity is always on and in fact when one is sleeping, its activity is the most active. This means that the neurons are constantly rewiring and there is change in electrical activity during sleep. Likewise, when one has the eyes shut and is simply lying, the neurons are still active and hence the electrical activity takes place. The only time when the electrical activities are no longer taking place is when the person is dead. When a person is dead, the neurons are no longer active and hence there is no electrical activity taking place.
