List and evaluate the three biological theories of aging.

1) Programmed Longevity, which considers ageing to be the result of a sequential switching on and off of certain genes, with senescence being defined as the time when age-associated deficits are manifested.
2) Endocrine Theory, where biological clocks act through hormones to control the pace of ageing. as we age, the endocrine system becomes less efficient and eventually leads to the effects of aging.First, the endocrine system secretes hormones from glands that deliver messages to cells containing information and instructions. The cells are programmed to receive specific messages from the many hormones that circulate through the body.Hormone levels are affected by factors such as stress and infection (KidsHealth, "Endocrine System").

3) Immunological Theory, which states that the immune system is programmed to decline over time, leading to an increased vulnerability to infectious disease and thus ageing and death. The immune system changes that seem to accompany old age can have a direct impact on a person's longevity. Not only does your immune system protect you against viruses and bacteria, but it also helps identify and remove cancer cells and toxins. As you get older, the potential for these elements to cause damage in your body increases.
