Hypothetically, if you were seeking a job as an accountant, and were able to choose any type of company or job specialty, what would that job be and for what type of company/industry. Please explain your reasoning.

If I am seeking a job as an accountant, I would like to make myself placed in a manufacturing company as a Key Accounts Manager.

I've selected to work in a Manufacturing companies where there are high compliance requirements such as Pharma Industry, Liquor Industry, Food Industry etc., which not only makes me keep updated myself in respective Law provisions relating to such industry but also help me to maintain highest standards in my work life.

And I've consciously chose the designation of a Key Accounts Manager(KAM) because it has the following advantages which will help me to excel my knowledge and experience.

1. KAM have to identify who are different stakeholders, and what are their needs. He must be able to provide solutions. He need to collaborate with different people within the organization to make sure that everybody is working toward the common objective.

2. It's a job for someone who knows how to move things along, with good interpersonal skills, able to work with a group of people

3. This role involves planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training

4. The KAM is responsible for handling the most important client accounts in a company. These accounts make up the highest percentage of company income, and the key account manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. They will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. The key account manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients.

Therefore, as I am from an accounting background, I have many advantages to broader my knowledge about various industries. Even if we work in a specific industry, we will have access to various other industries with which our organisation is dealing.
