1. Explain succinctly the major elements of a well-crafted Investment Policy Statement in one page only.
Component of investment policy statement are as follows-
A. Scope and purpose- scope and purpose will be reflecting upon the overall limitations and nature of the client and introduction of client and fund manager will always be trying to keep the scope and purposes while investment.
B. Governance- governance of investment policy statement is related to specifications of the responsibility of portfolio manager and it will also specify the authority and limitations
C. Investment return and risk objective- this will include the overall risk tolerance of the investor along with the desired rate of return with the investor was to make from the portfolio and the risk objective is the investor wants to attain by investing into the market.
D. Risk management- this is related to management of the risk after the funds has been invested and it is always assigning the overall portfolio allocation along with the portfolio rebalancing and other strategy which will be synchronising the interest of clients.
