Expert Solution

In the vedio "shipbreakers" it has been shown how, people who are fighting with poverty and poor living conditions are opting for very dangerous works such as shipbreaking. The documentary features the 'ALANG' shore of Gujarat, India.

For nations lacking resources and having a vast population like India, there is a vast proportion of people facing and fighting poverty to earn enough to have two meals a day. Such workers are ready to opt any job despite the level of danger involved in it, and do the work at very less and nominal wage rate. Working between such large 'garbage' ships without any proper equipments and protection is really life threatening and many labours have suffered the consequences, but still people work for it. And because of the less wage requirement, shipbreaking business in India has took over other nations, and has become the 'pollution importer' in the form of ships.
