Is America the best? Explain how COVID-19 exposed governmental response and preparation, American Health Care System preparation, knowledge of science, and education system - for the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Provide solid examples such as situations in preparation, understanding the severity of the disease, the need to start the economy again, to protest without a mask, anti-vaccination groups, waiting for vaccination, riot, asymptomatic individuals, fear of being in crowds, fear of going out, mental health, new and changing discoveries of COVID, COVID testing, antibody testings, immunity, vulnerable groups, and/or anything else you can think about. NOTE, it can be any combination of examples you may discuss about.
From the example you had chosen, how could government/society improve on that situation? Explain how your ideal health system would work?
Answer: The COVID- 19 pandemic has exposed the preparation of the government. This infection leads to increase the risk of the other chronic disease. The major death occured in the USA. It seems that the healthcare system of the USA is not well responsive or prepared for any kind of pandemic. People are dying, lack of facilities, poor health coverage etc. Still there are lack of beds for the admission of the patients. The research regarding vaccination is still in progress but it has been 3- 4 months, no progress report has been achieved.
The recent example of the New york where the number of the death rate is huge. People of old age or baby boomers are dying due to improper hospital facilities management for the covid-19. Many people lost their jobs, unemployment rate has been increased and it has become one of the major concern. Recession has come in the USA which has poor impact on the population of the USA.
The only preventive methods which can be deploy is wearing mask, washing hands frequently as well as gloves. Social distancing could be also beneficial. But lots of politics leads to increased concern regarding the safety precautions taken by the USA government.
