how can I make a comparison between the acute care, inpatient care and ambulatory care regarding the electronic health record needs?
I'm actually confused between the acute care and inpatient care are they the same? or they are different?

Acute care EHR provides a complete dashboard of patients details.It is a single platform and user experience support the unique documentation needs of the providers,nurses, allied health professions

Inpatient care: Here the patients requires hospital admission to diagnose and get treatment. Patients are treated completely.They are admitted to hospital only when they are extremely ill or have severe physical trauma.

Inpatient EHR have the data of patients interlinking the entire hospital for care.It includes all or various departments in a hospital.

Ambulatory care is also called as out patient care.It includes diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation services, consultation, observations, medical technology.

It aims to reduce the hospital admission.

Ambulatory EHR are used in Smaller practices.It is simpler because it deals with single patient and single practice.

It helps physicians to track patients medical records and long term care.

Here acute care and inpatient care both are patients being admitted to hospital .The duration of stay varies.
