1. Sensory memory it lasts for less than a second
example ' a visual pattern, a sound, or a touch it lingers for a brief moment after the stimulation is over.
2. Short-term memory; It is called working memory also it lasts for about less than a minute,
Example: remembering a phone number, by repeating the number several time we can keep resetting the short-term memory clock.
3. Long-term memory; It can remain throughout life.
It can store unlimited amounts of information indefinitely, the information must first pass through sensory and short-term memory before it can be stored as a long-term memory and can be recalled.
4. Long-term memory is divided into Implicit memory (unconscious) and Explicit memory (conscious)
Long-term memory is retrievable and recalled the unconscious stores skill task or the childhood events as researched by Freud's theory .and the conscious memory is related to facts and events.
