The world population at the 1950s was so little totaling to around three billion. It took more thanforty years for the world population to double. As per the latest estimates, by the year 2050, theworld population may have increased to approximately 9 billion. It is, however, important to notethat underdeveloped countries have greatly led to high population growth. for instance, in the1960s three countries Sweden a developed country, Chile a developing country by then andTanzania had the same number of people. However, after 60 years the countries populationschanged greatly with Tanzanian’s population growing ten times. Lower life expectancy and poorhealth standards are the leading factors for high population growth in developing countries
The most interesting fact is that underdeveloped countries with high population growth areslowly adopting modern strategies to plan for small families which will lead to a slow growth of population. It is also surprising how 3 countries with the same population 60 years ago can havea huge difference in population now.
