9. For a standard normal distribution, what is the probability that Z is greater than -1.35? Round to four decimals and use leading zeros.
10. For a standard normal variable, what is the probability that Z is between -2.00 and -1.00? Round to four decimals and use leading zeros.
11. For a dataset that follows the standard normal distribution, what is the probability that Z is between 2.00 and 3.00? Round to four decimals and use leading zeros.
The probability for a standard normal distribution between Z score is calculated using excel formula for normal distribution or by Z table shown below.
9) the probability that Z is greater than -1.35, P(Z>-1.35) is calculated using excel formula for normal distribution which is =1-NORM.S.DIST(-1.35, TRUE). So, P(Z>-1.35) computed using excel formula is 0.9115.
10) The probability that Z is between -2.00 and -1.00 is calculated using excel formula for Z distribution which is =NORM.S.DIST(-1,TRUE)-NORM.S.DIST(-2,TRUE).
so, P(-2<Z<-1) computed using excel formula is 0.1359
11) the probability that Z is between 2.00 and 3.00 is P(2<Z<3) is calculated as P(Z<3)-P(Z<2) is computed using excel formula =NORM.S.DIST(3,TRUE)-NORM.S.DIST(2,TRUE) which results in :
P(2<Z<3) = 0.0214.
The Z Table used is:
