Story theory contains three interrelated concept that is
intentional dialogue, connection with self in relation, and
creating ease. It has an interconnection with self in relation by
intentional dialogue to create ease. story theory is a universal
tool that helps nurses to overcome major problem related to patient
care. story theory is also called a middle-range theory as
research, practice for knowledge development. a patient story that
means their history-telling has healing potential it is applicable
in practice for nursing. it is a part of human experience, it
explains patient who they are. it is a way of the nurse-patient
health-promoting process. it provides structure to patient care
when collecting their stories. it helps to understand their
culture, events, emotional impact, the way of healing, and sharing
experience and recovery process. patient experience is a creative
way for their future potential.
connecting with self in relation to the nurse involves the patient
in storytelling about them, the intentional dialogue focuses on
challenges for patient complication health, creating ease can take
a step for resolving problems. story centered care can motivate the
people fir reducing disease progress by the behavioral messages
that improve their decision making power. it is very useful with
children and adolescents group. family can be included with story
theory it gains more insight.
