Oil flowing through a conical tube fixed at an inclined angle of 35° with the horizontal-line and its small diameter downwards. The discharge through the pipe is 0.03m3/s. The diameter of the smaller end is 8cm, while 16cm at another end. The upper end is 2m above lower end. Determine the intensity of pressure at the lower end if the flow takes place in the down direction and the pressure at upwards 1 is 250 kPa. The density of the oil is 0.8505 g/cm3 and the viscosity 79.330 mPa.s.

Q.8. Super-heated steam at 875 K is flowing through a thick walled tube of stainless tube with inside diameter 40mm and outside diameter50mm such that its inner wall is heated to a uniform temperature of 875K.To reduce heat loss, the tube is lagged with 30mm layer of asbestos insulation k=0.2 W/m.K.
