Answer: There can be a number of reasons why the companies do not provide educational benefits for the employees. Firstly this encourages employees to invest more time in studies and pay less attention on work. The second reason is that the employees after upgrading their skills may leave the company for a better opportunity. Thirdly it puts extra burden on the company in form of costs and at times the employees are unable to complete the courses for which the company has paid. Yes my company provides the educational benefits. I feel that it is a very encouraging support that motivates an employee and makes them loyal towards the company. But I feel that not many employees are actually aware about the benefits that this opportunity offers. I have this feeling as in my company not more than 20% of the employees use this facility. I feel that this is a good strategy by the company as it allows the company to upgrade the skill set of its employees. This enables the company to get people with the right skills without making new hiring.
