Patient engagement is used to describe everything from patient portals to social mediastrategies, from tracking vitals with wearables to patients actively participating in their own health and wellness. It is helpful to attain better outcomes of their own health . Providers and patients working together to improve health. A patient’s greater engagement in healthcare contributes to improved health outcomes, and information technologies can support engagement. Patients want to be engaged in their healthcare decision-making process, and those who are engaged as decision-makers in their care tend to be healthier and have better outcomes.

There are many techniques which are helpful in patient engagement . One such is access to portals for patients also. So that they can check their medical records, update any recent reports, pay bills, check results so on.
