Mainly I had contact with 3 operating system There are

Windows

Linux

Android

These three OS types are likely what run your phone or computer. Whether you’re just a normal computer and phone user, or someone hoping to get involved in an IT career, knowledge of applications and systems types will help you maintain security and user access, perform routine operations, and much more.

Microsoft Windows.

The Windows OS has been around since the 1980s, and has had several versions/updates (e.g., Windows 95, Windows Vista, Windows 7/8/10, etc.) Microsoft Windows is one of the popular operating system types and is preloaded on most new PC hardware. With each new Windows update/release, Microsoft continues to work on improving their users’ experience, hardware, and software, making Windows more accessible, and easier to use.

Microsoft Windows contains a control panel, a desktop and desktop assistant, disk cleanup, event viewer, and more. Many users prefer Microsoft Windows because they say it is compatible with many other kinds of software. Many kinds of computer programs run best on Microsoft Windows because they are, at their core, developed by Microsoft. sells the OS. They are designed and sold by the companies. There are also previous versions/updates:

Google's Android OS.The OS that Google uses to run its Android mobile smartphones and tablets is based on Linux distribution and other open source software. Android OS is the primary OS for Google mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. Android has gained increasing popularity since its release as an alternative to Apple’s iPhone for smartphone users, and is continuing to increase in popularity with new updates and exciting features. .

Linux Operating System.

Linux is different from Windows and Apple, in that it is not a proprietary software, but rather a family of open source systems. In other words, anyone can modify and distribute it. Linux may be the least known on this list, but it is free and available in many different open source versions. Linux is popular because of its ease to customize and offers a variety of options to those who understand how to utilize it. If you know how to customize and work with operating systems, Linux is an ideal choice. And if this kind of coding and back-end work is interesting to you, it may be a good idea to purchase a Linux system and get started manipulating it.

Windows ia the oldest release operating system it released on 1985. But linux released on 1991 and android released on 2008.

All these three operating systems are developed for different platforms .

Android for mobiles.

Windows for desktop(There’s some windows OS for servers also but not mostly used in many servers).

Linux is for both desktop and servers.

Windows is very simple to use as you don’t need any technical knowledge of coding or terminal commands. Windows is proprietary, So it’s source code in inaccessible and you can’t customize it as per your wish. You can’t take the full control of your windows.

First of all, Linux is not an Operating System. It is a kernel on which the Operating System is built which is generally called Linux OS. Linux has many distros for different type of users which gives a full-fledged user environment to different type of users. It is open-source.

In a Linux based OS, it is not necessary for the user to have a knowledge of command lines or coding. But if you have these things you can effectively use your machine. In a Linux based OS, with the help of the root user, you can take the overall control of your Operating system.

Android is a better operating system developed for mobile platforms where it gives a friendly UI and good performance for the users. It is also built on Linux kernel. So, likewise the root user in Linux based OS, if you root your android you can take the overall control of your Android and you can do any modifications as per your wish. Android is also open-source(i.e. When you buy a phone you pay only for the hardware and for the company’s customized OS, but not for the generalized android). Google doesn’t make android proprietary. It leaves android open-source so which many developers across the world can customize and develop their own android OS which is generally known as custom roms(eg. lineage(formerly cyanogenmod, miui etc).

Based on my experience android is best os and linux is very difficulty to use

Android is not a GNU/Linux distro but its Kernel (its powerhouse) is Linux and since it is the convention that a collection of software put together around the Linux Kernel is referred to as Linux, Android is Linux.

  • Android is an open source OS that was first created by Android Inc. and is now owned by Google while Linux is the kernel that was created by Linus Torvalds (and contributed to by many others) under the GNU project.
  • Android is developed for mobile phones and Mobile Internet devices while Linux is developed for desktops/laptops/servers.
  • Android uses its own C library, Bionic; while Linux distros use GNU C
  • Android cannot run any programs that are meant for GNU/Linux distros
  • Android implements a modified version of the Linux kernel with specialized libraries and APIs for interacting with cellular networks and providing support for apps that can be used by phone models irrespective of their vendors.
  • You can go through the “About” info section in your settings to check the kernel version that your phone is running.
