As a health student,What do you think about the problem of ignorance and lack of physical activity leading to the potential for obesity.
Ignorance and lack of physical activity in relation to High blood pressure:
High blood pressure also known as Hypertension . It is the disorder of abnormally high blood pressure. The normal blood pressure is 120 /80 mm of Hg. The problem of ignorance and lack of physical activity are the two main causative factors that have the potential to cause Hypertension.
Due to the problem of ignorance people tend to live carelessly with the risk factors of Hypertension such as family history, obesity , high salt and fat content diet, physical inactivity etc. Knowledge is power and the power can change the life style of the people.
For example : An individual , who is aware about the fact that parents' history of Hypertension is one of the main risk factor , may be more careful in his diet and may invlove in exercise for preventing hypertension. But one who is unaware or ignorant about the disease condition may not take any preventive measures and may develop High blood pressure due to the presence of risk factors.
Lack of physical activity is also one of the main reason for hypertension, other condition like Hypercholostrolemia, Diabetes, obesity etc which inturn can complicated to High blood pressure. Individual who are physically inactive tend to have higher heart rate overtime . Heart may work harder with higher heart rate and may apply stronger force on arteries with each contraction , resulting in high blood pressure.
Obesity:
The problem of ignorance and lack of physical activity have the potential to develop obesity. Obesity is the state of being Obese due to an excess of body fat. Ignorance about the complications of obesity such as heart diseases, Diabetes , hypertension, stroke etc, can make the individual to be careless about bodyweight and diet. They may continue with their high calorie diet , consumption of artificial sweeteners, ice creams and cheeses along with physical inactivity.
Lack of physical exercise is one of the main risk factor for Obesity. A physically active individual, or a person who engages in regular physical exercise , especially aerobic exercise like running, jogging, brisk walking, swimming along with a healthy diet will be less likely to develop Obesity . Because exercise can burn the extra calories from the body and also blood glucose level, blood pressure and cholesterol level etc may get reduced with daily exercise.
An individual , who is aware about Obesity and its complications and the importance of physical activity may adapt healthy lifestyle like regular physical exercise and healthy diet , and can prevent the occurance of obesity and its complications.
