The anthropological insights that would be most useful to world leaders when related to current environmental challenges would be to build a sustainable ecosystem and community with an inspiring policy challenge with legal and regulatory approaches to environmental protection. This would also require behavioral changes of people, how they interact with one another as well as the environment. We have to present world leaders the way for a sustainable environmental society based on human behavior.
With current environmental challenge, we have to know the problem like how people can travel to work and other places efficiently without causing environmental damage, whether we can club many people together in buses or like individual cars and bikes to work will cause a lot of pollution, whether train/metro and local train facilities are available, etc. We have to provide people with the best commute with the lowest possible cost. Regular pollution tests should be done for individual bikes and cars. There should be proper drainage and garbage management also.
Insights for future environmental challenges would be to hold people responsible for environmental degradation. Awareness programs to teach people about the conseuences of environmental degradation should be conducted. The Government should also encourage bus passes, lowered rail costs for travel in and out of cities and encourage the uses of bicycles for health of the individual and to save the environment. Individual use of cars and bikes should be avoided as much as possible to save our environment from pollution. Better plans to manage garbage and drainage should be made.
