Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos on 5 July 1994 and the site went online in 1995 headquartered in Seattle,Washington is world largest online retailer multinational e-commerce company with a Vision- "TO BE EARTH'S MOST CUSTOMER- CENTRIC COMPANY; TO BUILD A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN COME TO FIND AND DISCOVER ANYTHING THEY MIGHT WANT TO BUY ONLINE".

The major competitors of Amazon are Walmart, Alibaba group, Netflix in terms of media, eBay etc.

Amazon's competitive advantage compares to the competitor(s)

1.Low price: Amazon provides a wide range of products at a very low price. Amazon offers products to the customers at aggressively low prices with a motive to create value to the customers.

2.Product diversification: Amazon offers a diverse range of products to the customers.It has a variety of products available over its website which serve every segment of customers according to their choices.

3. Product personalization: Amazon enables the customer segment to customize their product according to their choice.For example: with the help of Amazon customers can personalize the birthday gifts by customizing an image on the frame or one can order the locket or pendant of their own name from the Amazon website.
