PIPS ( POINT IN PERCENTAGE)

Pips is the smallest movement in the cuurency markets. Movement in exchange rate is measured by pips. Currency pair are quoted to a maximum of four decimal place. The smallest change for these pair is 1 pip.

In EUR/USD The 4th place after point and 5th place is shown as small as 1.11412. Here 2 is pipet. 10 pipet is 1 pip. If we cosider4 here we can say that 41 pips and like wise.

In USD/JPY the 2 digit after point is consider as pips and 3rd place is pipet hare 111.812 2 is pipet and 81 is pip.

we can see one example to show how to know the pip.

If a share is bought for 1.13450 and sold at 1.13970 the differnce between these two or profit is called pips. Here profit is 0.0052(1.13970-1.13450) and pips is 52 (0.0052*10000). If a share is sold at 1.1700 and bought at 1.1655  then pips is 45 ( 0.0045*10000) 0.0045 is loss.
