BIOCHEMISTRY
4 complexes are involved in the electron transport chain.
identify the following:
Common Complex produced by Complex I and Complex II:
Complex that reduces molecular oxygen:
Complex that is coupled to ATP synthesis:
Energy for ATP synthesis is derived from:
Net reaction that occurs at Complex I
Net reaction that occurs at Compex III
Net reaction that occurs at Complex IV
NADH donates -------- electrons during oxidation
Which of the 4 complex(es) translocate protons in the inner
mitochondrial membrane?...
Regarding the electron transport chain, are all of the complexes
within the chain integral? Specifically, is complex 2 integral or
peripheral? Some images display it as integral, meaning that it
does enter the membrane but doesn't span the entirety of it like a
transmembrane protein. These different images confuse me, so I'm
hoping to get some clarification.
Which of the following complexes involved in electron transport
and oxidative phosphorylation does NOT directly impact the pH of
mitochondrial intermembrane space?
A) Complex I
B) Complex II
C) Complex III
D) Complex IV
E) Complex V
