Research the negative effects on mental health due to Social isolation the elderly aged 65 and over in Jamaica?

There are many negative effects on mental health of elderly aged 65 or more in Jamaica due to social isolation as social isolated people are not able to interact with more people. They live confined life due to less being socialize as they spend most of time at home.These days most of the people are living isolated life because of covid 19 pandemic.
The negative impact of social isolation among elder people of jamica is that they feel anxiety, loneliness, stress. Elder people feel lonely because their family members less interact with them. The loneliness could give rise to negative thoughts in the mind. It could create a sense in their mind that life is useless. Too much anxiety could convert into depression. Many jamican elder people face schizophrenia problem at elder age because of isolation.
Research reveals that living isolated life is not good for physical as well as mental health because person lives in stress and don't even laugh due to which their body release bad harmones which adversely affect their physical and mental health. They don't even share their problems with others because of shame and which create too much pressure on them and they face many mental problems like vertigo, forgetting things, dizziness etc.
