We can define professionalism as:The conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person or even say that the following a path of work for gain or livelihood for eg The Doctors, Engineers, teacher, professors, skilled workers such as gold smith, Chefs, & many others. Another defination can also be put as the skill, good judgment, & polite behavior that is expected from a person who is trained to do a job well.
An individual who shows consideration and gives respect for others demonstrates a commitment to professionalism. additionally, a person who keeps his word, demonstrates loyalty, &exceeds to expectations of the organisation or the workplace.
Some of the factors which are carried by the professional at their work places to make the organisation a sucessful venture.1) A neat appearence or well polished to say that to groom your physical appearence.2) Proper Demeanor , the confidence that expresses how well you are established & have knowledge in your job work, whatever problems come in the way. 3) Realibility 4) Competent 5) communicator ( on verbal discusion or telephonic discussions) 6) Poised
The other key elements for an INDIVIDUAL to have for his professionalism may be considered as: ) To posses a accountability, 2) Consideration 3) Humility 4) Tidiness 5) Kindness 6) Consistency.
TEAM BASED LEARNING( TBL) : May be defined as a collaborative learning & teaching strategy that enables people to follow a structured process to enhance student engagement & the quality of student . This methodology can be used in any the work places or organisations. In TBL generally the modules are expressed in three steps 1) Individuals pre-work 2) Individual Readiness Assurance Test 3) Team Readiness Assurance Test 4) clarification session 5) Application excrcise 6) Peer evalution .
Principles of TBL : Some principles that are suggested are as follows : 1) Formation of groups with talented people of the same profession.2) Teams asssigned must be accountable for their pre learning & team work & promote learning & team dvelopment. 3) Receive frequent & immediate backs .
The benefits of TBL : it can transform traditional content & problem solving skills, while developing interpersonal skills. Its implementation in the field education can also be important for developing skills & abilities that are useful for businesses, organizations, careers, industries where many projects & tasks are performed by teams. Learning how to learn, work, interact, & collaborate in a team is essential for success in this kind of an environment The individuals who learned through an active team based learning curriculum had greater long-term knowledge retention as compared to a traditional passive lecture curriculum.
Ihave been in leadership role in my organisation in the projects assigned to me form the organisation where I worked .As a leader I firstly gave my introduction to my team mates & took a brief introduction from my team mates, Explained each& every aspect, the requirement , the time limits for the completion, the difficulties that may arise during the project , daily discussion before the start the back up of,the previous job description & the days targets, In between ask about their own welfare & their family wel fare even asked do they have their meals in time & a friendly attitude with them , standing with them where problems arised to all These practical experiences of mine profited me & my team mates for sucessfull completion of the job work where ahuge appreciation was given to me which i passed it on to my team mates also for their hard work& support.
