Searchers is an American film which is directed by the famous director John Ford in the year 1956. This film is based on a Novel. There are varieties of characters in the movie such as

Ethan Edwards in Searchers – Ethan Edward was an Indian racist who hates Indians a lot. He was searching for his lost or kidnapped niece and also wanted to kill her because she was tainted by the Comanche’s.

Debbie in Searchers- Debbie was a young girl who was kidnapped by the Comanches. She spends her five years of live with the Comanche’s and after spending 5 years as a kidnapped person she was rescued by the Ethan Edwards and Martin.

Martin in Searchers- Martin Pawley was an adopted brother of the young girl Debbie. He was with Ethan Edwards for finding her sister Debbie.

Laurie in Searchers- Laurie was an young girl who was in love with Martin. She was also Ethan’s neighbor’s daughter. She wants to marry Martin, but Martin’s searches for her sister Debbie created a problem in their marriage. After 5 years Laurie finds Martin as married with an Indian.

Look in Searchers- Look was an Indian Squaw who was married with Martin unexpectedly. Martin’s marriage was the reason of break up with the Laurie.

Charlie McCorry in Searchers- Charlie McCorry was a friend of Jorgensen family. Martin’s marriage news inspires Charlie for proposing Laurie. Martin fights with the Charlie for proposing Laurie and for right to the Laurie’s hand.

Scar in Searchers- Scar was an Indian Comanche by whom Debbie was kidnapped. He kidnapped Debbie for the revenge of the death of his people by the White people

Mose Harper in Searchers- Mose Harper was an old man with an eccentric nature. He was involved in helping Ethan for finding the Comanche Scar who had kidnapped Debbie.
