In Trinidad and Tobago all the restaurants and bar buisiness should obtain a license from secretary of the Liquor Licensing Committee of the Magistrate's court.

There are many types of licenses:-

- Spirit retailer's license

- Spirit grocer's license

- Night bar license

- occasional spirit retailer's license

Each license depends up on the type of service the restaurants and bars offers .

The chemistry, food and drugs division (CFDD) of the Ministry of Health is the local regulation and Monitoring Agency of the trinidad and Tobago .

(CFDD) inspects the restaurants and bar buisness.

This (CFDD) will monitor the following aspects :-

- Importation

- Storage

- Sale

- Manufacture

- Distribution

- Fraud

- Deception- Labelling and marketing

- Disposal- Food and drugs

- Quality

- Purity

- Safety

Inorder to import, we must take -

- a certificate of origin of the product that certificate should show the country in which the product was manufactured .

- Certificate of freesale

- certificate of health.
