Dominance concept is the dominance of individual over others. In the dominance the democratic system is neglected when there is the dominance of the individual. Dominance is a term opposite to the concept of the democracy. In the dominance concept there are various forms. If there is the dominance of a party, then the other parties can not oppose the dominant party. Here democracy is neglected.

In the dominance concept there is the authority is fully controlled by the individual or the party or group. There is also the authoritative nature of the dominant person or group. In such situation authority focuses on the reliability and if there is opposition, there reliability is acquired forcefully. It also shows that the authoritative person is expert in doing activities. He shows his efficiency in many ways. The authoritative person likes democracy and there is no matter of intolerance.

But the authoritarian concept goes very close to the dominance concept. It focuses on the forceful obedience. Here the opposite criticism is not tolerated. It may be exercised by the individual of party in the name of an organization and agency. It goes against the individual rights of freedom of speech and action. The dominance is imposed through the authoritarian exercises.
