Genital herpes is a common sexually transmitted diseases. It is due to virus named HSV herpes simplex virus categorised as

HSV 1 cause cold sores

HSV2 cause genital herpes

As name indicate it effects genital the it cervix and penis other one is oral herpes

Main symtoms may not be appear even if virus is present it resembles like some skin disorders and remains hidden sores appear on the genital area or skin it can be diagnosed after blood test for virus.

Itching , tingles may happen before the first outbraek i.e. blisters appearance blisters are the confimatory for this and appear near genitals and may spread as fluid touch on skin or other parts of body. It spread throgh surface contact. It is incurable snd can be prevented only by not having sex with effected person use of condom may help in prevention but it is not reliable bcoz fluid from other body blisters may spread the diseases. Pregnant infected women may transfer it to new baby. There is no cure of disease but medicine can dec. the pain and time to outbreak may be extended.

Acyclovir is used an antiviral drug which reduces pain and inc. time for outbreak. Valacyclovir is prodrug converted to acyclovir does thr same function
