What is supranationalism? Why did some European governments agree to form supranational communities during the initial post-World WarII? Discuss four countries. How has supranationalism differentiated these communities from non-supranational communities?
The term supranational is used when many countries joints hands together and become one territory . In this system the all countries are counted as one and are lead by one government who decides for all of them. In short supranationalism means the nationalism followed by all the all those countries coming together to become one.
Many times the single government is not able to take decision or is not able to run the country in the time of crises. Therefore forming these unions with other countries give a backup to the host country in running the government.
European Government agree to form supranational communities:
The Four countries involved were
Post word war the countries were resourceful in
Belgium was in Banking and business i.e.. money as a resource
Netherlands was in industries and farming i.e.. human resource
Italy was in infrastructure i.e. serving society and sustainable development
Luxembourg was in agriculture and rivers i.e.. in primary and water resource
Hence if all these come up together to be one the economic condition would be stable and they will be able to grow in a better and efficient manner. Moreover they can prepare themselves for misfortune and pressure conducted by the US government.
How this system is different from other not following it :
Hence the formation of this community for the mutual benefit by the European countries was the urge at that time. As post World War the countries were economically unstable and to come back in the fight and development this was the most important requirement i.e.. joining hands with the neighboring counties.
