Sthethocope   is  an improvised hollow tube device that are used by physician as well as health care workers and was developed in 1816 by a French physician, René Laënnec. Later the stethoscope with its specific disc-shaped resonator as well as the two tubes connected to earpieces has become the specific symbol of the medical profession.

  1. Stethoscope is now the symbol of tge medical profession and is helpful in identifying the medical professionals with this specific symbol
  2. Stethoscope is helpful in diagnosis of the cardiovascular condition like atrial fibrillation and many other conditions. As the heart has 2 normal sounds that are S1 and S2 and individual with abnormal heart sound like S3 and S4 can be heard with the help of a stethoscope and is useful to diagnose the specific conditions that the individual is affected from .
