List ‘Three’ important contributions of Louis Pasteur to Modern Day Medicine.
The three important contribution of louis pasteur is ,
pasteurization, germ theory,vaccine for fowl cholera, anthrax and
rabies.
pasteurization:- The process of checking
fermentation in milk and other fluids by heating them to a
temperature of of 72 degree celsius for 15-20 mins or 63 degree
celsius for 30 mins and then rapidly cooling. This kill most
pathogenic bacteria.
Germ theory:- the theory was founded by louis
pasteur with other scientist. There is a killer disease arose in
the silk industry however pasteur proved that is beccause of
microbes that attacking healthy silk worm eggs causing an unknown
disease,that would be eliminated if the microbes were eliminaed. He
developed a vaccine against the microbes.
Rabies vaccine:-Louis pasteur developed a vaccine
against rabies caused by the bite, a rabid animal . The first
patient treated by pasteur is Joseph Meister a nine year old who
was bitten by a rabid animal
