Expert Solution

Search engines, Internet users, and webmasters are involved in a symbiotic, three-way relationship.

First of all, let's understand, what are all they:

  1. Search Engine: A search engine is a piece of software that is made to carry out a search related to web to search the WWW in a systematic manner.
  2. Webmaster: They monitor its performance with search engines, its functionality, speed and design. They even keep track of the contents it is showing, campaigns and marketing efforts they are taking.
  3. Users: They are the people who use the Internet worldwide.

Now let's understand the symbolic relationship between search engines, webmasters, and users:

  • Crawler searches the Internet for content, looking over the content for each URL they find.
  • Index stores and organize the content found during the crawling process.
  • Once a page is in the index, the result is displayed as a result of relevant queries.
  • Rank provides a piece of results that will best describe and answer the searcher's query.
  • It means that contents are sorted from the most relevant to least relevant.
