If we look closely, the top five search engine worldwide can be counted as Google, Yahoo, Baidu, Bing, and Ask. A unique style of improvisation has been offered by the search engines which is being utilized by both the business world and also by the private individuals. These search engines have really played a significant role in making the world as a global village by offering a connection between the various regions of the world which is very unique to the mankind. The main philosophy of all these five search engines is same that is to facilitate the information to the users.

If we look at the market share of these five search engine, Google seems to be the leader which has a market value of approximately $576 billion as of 2017. Most of its revenue generation is done from advertising. Google offers highly diversified products and services to the users and offers its services in the various languages and this is the main reason behind covering huge demographic in the entire world. If we look at Baidu, in the year 2015, it was the largest search engine in China as it was the local company which has greater roots in the Chinese culture in comparison to Google. This is a clear example of understanding how well the culture and nationalism can play a major role in the success of any business organization in a community.

Yahoo is mainly used as the main search engine has its own media house which provides better usages in comparison to Google. As the same demographics are being targeted by both Google and Yahoo, the competition is quite tough for the search engines such as Bing and Ask to make an entry in this market.
