Popular culture is set of practises or beliefs that are pular or dominant is a society at the current or the present point. Hence popular culture is also popular or common attitude held by most of the people towards certain topic. Popular culture is also known as mass culture, folk culture, working class culture. Some time it is also defiend as lacking intellectual level and going just with herd mentality. The popular culture is often expressed through movies, tv serials, advertisements, news paper writeups. Media shapes the pubilcity of popular culture to a large extent and so does social networking websites today.

Current popular culture is largely influenced by photography, editing and social media. Today people go out and celebrate just to take photos and post on websites such as instagram, facebook etc. People feel empty if they do not do so or if they do not watch the social network. Any food joint quickly becomes popular or any food brand also becomes popular ddue to such publicity. Photos of baby, marraige, any major life events, opinions about a particular thing, festivals, games etc all is posted on social networks.
