Part of the beauty of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales is the manner that he draws together disparate figures from different social classes & modes of life who would never otherwise mingle together in the same sphere and brings their stories in touch with one another (so that even as they communicate disparate truths that don't connect on every level, their shared discourse still offers illustrative moments where characters have opportunities to open up & learn from each other's stories).... Events of the past few months (the international health pandemic, episodes of racial injustice and the general social & political upheaval surrounding the response to those events), tragically has highlighted our divisiveness, it seems, as opposed to the connectedness we should feel as members of small communities as well as participants of the human race. In a brief (2 paragraph post), provide a response to the following question:
What can participants (either in your current field of work or in the one you're preparing yourself for) do to encourage a spirit of harmony & to celebrate the beauty of our diversity? How will the personal journeys of those you currently work with or those you plan to work with be important in your service to them?
Participants should always have a positive mind towards their work to encourage the spirit of harmony. Every participant should treat each other as a human being dedicated to working irrespective of race, gender, class, etc. When every participant work towards a common goal and fins satisfaction in the ultimate result, the spirit of harmony is achieved. When people from different cultures work for an institution, one can explore the different types of positive ideas coming in favor of the task they are working on to achieve a fruitful result. Such miraculous results would never be achieved if all participants belong to the same culture and possess the same school of thought. The personal journey will truly depend on the outcome that is seen or experienced from the participants we are working along with as well. A person who is always negative and finds blame in others is a tough one to work with as their attitude cannot be changed irrespective of several ones to one talks or counseling sessions. In such scenarios, the only way possible is to keep ourselves positive and perform to the level best for the prosperity of the institution we are working for.
