ANSWER :

DUAL ATTITUDE SYSTEM states that an individual can have two different attitudes towards something or someone. These two attitudes are : Implicit Attitude and Explicit Attitude. The Implicit Attitude is more or less a gut reaction whereas an Explicit Attitude is a well thought-out process. When any person is said to have these two different types of attitudes (Implicit and Explicit Attitude), he/she has a dual attitude.

  • The type of attitude that represent the consciously controlled attitudes regarding someone or something refers to the Explicit Attitude of Dual Attitude System. The Explicit Attitude can be reffered to as well pondered responses which do not represent true attitude, rather are inauthentic. The explicit attitudes are only activated with a vigorous or determined attempts and intentionally. The explicit attitudes can only discern if the person has enough assets and enthusisasm to express any attitude. The Explicit attitude are based on the recent learned responses and are comparitively easy to change. As the explicit attitude reflect the conscious awareness, so people are aware about their explicit attitude. Both, implicit and explicit attitudes are related to different types of behaviors.

Some examples of the behaviours represented by the explicit attitude can be of : For example, whom to be with?, whom to call or talk to ? etc.
