Describe how US Airports must comply to be certified to accept commercial air carriers in accordance with 49 CFR Part 139
14 CFR part 39 is an airport certification which shall be provided by the FAA to the airports which follows specific guidelines in its operations. In order to acquire commercial air carriers in the US airports, it has to comply with the standards of the 14 CFR part 39 certifications. Some of the standards in relation to 14 CFR part 39 certifications are discussed as follows.
· The airport must comply with the operational and safety standards in relation to the 14 CFR part 39 certifications like fire fighting, rescue equipments etc.
· The air port should provide sufficient fuel facilitation which makes the commercial air carriers to operate effectively.
· The airports should be facilitated with sufficient moving area which doesn’t hinder the movement of the passenger air craft’s. Inspection will be carried out periodically in order to avoid fatal events due to insufficient movement area.
· Maintenance of appropriate records, proper administration etc is mandatory as per 14 CFR part 39 certifications
