Diversity:
Diversity in an organization means a group of people with difference in socio, economic and political background working together for a common objective.
The advantage of diversity in the organization is explained below:
1. Diverse organizations have better possibility for increased production/outcome due to diversified thinking. Eg: The organization will always hire employees based on skills and knowledge and not based on age, sex, religion etc.
2. Leaders in the organization can take new steps through diversity initiatives and to get a go ahead from them for further activities.
3. Equal employment opportunity is created in the organization and employees feel safe at work through diversity. Eg: The employee does not get discriminated due to age, race, sex etc.
4. There will not be any discrimination or termination based on race, color, gender etc through diversity in the organization.
5. There would be many diversified people working in an organization with cultural difference, political difference and socio economic difference and makes the organization grow and the come could come up with innovative ideas. Eg: training would be provided on how to work with LGBT to the employees as that emphasis the importance on diversity as there will not be any difference in the workplace.
