Summarize the solution you identified and compare it to historical solutions proposed in the past
Drug addiction can be best explained by social conflict theory. This states that certain members in society or the minority group gets neglected or will undergo oppression/ discrimination experience from both the micro-level as well as the macro level. This will create stress in them and they overcome the same tby relying on drug abuse as a temporary relief. This issue is a very difficult one to overcome and changes must happen in the micro-level between individuals in a society and must go high up in finally resolving macro issues such as poverty, The solution to this is teaching the younger generation regarding the rights every human being possess as a national citizen and to never treat a human being with oppressive acts or discriminative ones. As the younger generation grows up with this point in mind and bringing forward strong policies that would abandon both discrimination and oppression, there are high chances that social inequality will begin to disappear giving equal opportunity to all.
In the past we have seen these happening but would never proceed further as the younger generation begin to get influenced by the older ones and their social inequality aspects that would totally bring the issue back to where it was. It would take generations and constant exposure of strong policies as to build a nation that would never express social inequality as an issue thereby overcoming others related to it such as drug absue.
