Discuss the difference between music in sacred places and in public places. Be sure to reference important vocabulary and details discussed in class and in readings. Site at least one sacred and one secular piece in your explanation.
Music at sacred place are performed for the religion, and music in public place are for enjoyment. The music at sacred places are smooth and calm effect on people when they hear it. Sacred Musics are to praise the lord and people sing it so they can participate in it. For example choir, they are the organized group of singers who perform for the public and their music are only based on religion and even the lyrics. Sacred place music are not for enjoyment, they are for praising the lord.
Public place music is basically invented for entertainment. People love to listen public music which has heavy beats and music which makes you feel good. However, some people get disturbed by the music because they are loud. The secular music is started is not religious and it was developed in the Medieval period and was used in the Renaissance.
And now secular music or public music is totally different and are just made for entertainment basis.
