The US health care industry is immense, complex and dynamic. Every country faces the decisions of what services should be produced, how they should be produced, how they should be distributed, and how to allow for growth and innovation? Comment on how these decisions are currently being made in the United States? What are the various purposes that prices served? Can you provide an example of how a particular purpose of price has affected an organization you are familiar with? Health care policy is prepared on the basis of diversity in the population, income groups and social classes. Such diversity comes due to different cultural and social background, race and ethnicity. In this regard, the USA possesses a huge level of diversity. Thus, there is a need of composite plan that could be applied to the whole population. In the USA, Affordable Care Act has tried to establish a health care policy that addresses the needs of different classes of people. It helped in reducing cost of treatment do that more people could benefit from the health care. The act made it mandatory for organizations with certain size to give health insurance to everyone, increased the overage to those who have pre existing diseases. Also, the act made the provision to reimburse the cost of medicines to those who are poor or belong to low income group.
Though it came with certain flaws also as rich people are paying more taxes and premium for insurance have increased. But, it definitely provided benefits to those who suffer due to the income inequality, low income or are socially backward.
Different prices to different people are used to make sure that impact of health care is maximized and maximum people get the benefits.
Now, the Trump Administration is coming up with the new health care policy that will benefit more to those who paid higher taxes and benefit less to poor people. Thus there is a scope that poor will suffer again. It seems that the new policy will appease those affluent people who pay more taxes.
I am familiar with the organization having more than 100 people employed in the organization. Now everyone got the insurance, though the insurance premium got increased. But people were happy that their health issues were well taken care off. New policy of healthcare have made the employer happy, but employees feel to be suspicious regarding their health care.
