Describe ways in which turnover in an organization can be bad, and ways in which it can be good.
Turnover in an organization can be bad when :
a. The cost associated with replacing employees or workers can be higher as it requires hiring, training new employees which can lead to low employee morale as employees do not feel connected to the organization while the overall expenses of company increases.
b. As Millennial employees try to switch jobs, high turnover rate can create a talent shortage within an organization while reduced employee performance.
Turnover in an organization can be good as :
a. Employee turnover helps to gain new and fresh ideas which can lead to creativity and innovative thinking among employees as new employees bring in new ideas and innovative thinking with them.
b. It helps organization to have diversity by recruiting employees from different background, with different perspectives etc while pave the way to make changes within the organization and replace employees who did not contribute much to team by the one who are talented, skilled and experienced.
