The barriers and motivation of Physical Activityseen with regards to social context (law, economics, media, religion, family education, etc.) of men's health.
The barriers and motivations of physical activity seen with regard to the social context of men's health are:
a. Law: There are no laws to prevent or limit the physical activity of men which is not meant to harm others. Motivations for physical activity are also not there in law.
b. Economics: Economically weaker sections of the society do have certain barriers with regard to physical activity. Motivations are less for them as compared to the other section.
c: Media: Media is really helpful for men as far as the motivational aspect of physical activity is considered. The print as well as digital/social media motivates men to a greater extent for improved health outcomes through increased physical activity. This support offered by media leads to a decrease in lifestyle disease. Barriers to physical activity are usually not supported by media but there are few exceptions in this case as well.
d. Religion: In the modern world, the influence of religion is limited, and generally no religion limits or motivates the physical activity of men while many religions can be seen as creating barriers to the physical activity of women.
e. Family education: Family education is a factor controlling the physical activity of men. Highly educated people with sedentary jobs and lifestyle are less active but highly educated ones with the right amount of motivation from the family members are found to be more active. Men from less-educated families who do physical labor are more active because of their jobs.
