JEAN WATSON THEORY OF CARING:

DR.Jean waston is an great ament personality , professor, nurse theorist and founder and director of the non profit waston caring science institute. She is beat know for her theory of human caring and ten caritas process which serves as a blue print professional nursing practice inorder to restore the art of nursing practice and better care for their patient and them selves.   

The major elements of this theory are ten caritas process. They are following below:

  1. Sustain humanistic - altruistic values by practice loving , kindness with self and others.
  2. Being authentically present, enabling faith and hope and honouring others.
  3. Being sensitive to self and others by cultivating own spiritual practice.
  4. Developing and sustaining love, trusting, caring relationship.
  5. Allowing for expression of positive and negative feeling.
  6. Creatively problem solving through caratis process.
  7. Engaging in transpersonal teaching and learning with in context of caring relationship.
  8. Creating a healing environment at all levels.
  9. Reverentially assisting with basic needs as sacred acts , touching mind spirit of others.
  10. Opening to spiritual, mystery , unknowns allowing for miracles.
