Why do front-line workers need to be heavily involved in process improvement?
The first reason is large numbers. There are more from line employees than in any other category of workers. There is immense amount of creativity and intelligence with in the group that should be frequently untapped.
Theyare the people know the organization's core process and they work daily to bring improvement in organizations.
In healthcare setup the front line employees are doctors, nurses and others those who are working closely with the patients.
Theyshould have opportunities to develop new skill and to take on greater responsibilities and move up with their organizations.
Studyingthe observations and recommendations from front line workers is a well known method of improving the service offered by the hospital as they have more interaction with the patients and public.
They are the first contact for the patients and families. They connect the family and community with the health system.
So if we want improvement in organization's process engage front line workers in that by make them to sit in review and strengthen them with available resources.
