Nurses have often reported high frequencies of incidents of incivility when they are working with doctors under stressful conditions in emergency rooms and during surgeries on patients. That could effect these incidents of incivility have on patients receiving medical care at the hospital ? What should a hospital administrator do to reduce the level of incivility at the hospital when made aware of this problem ?
A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
The main work of the nurses in the hospital is to help the doctors in various operations, surgeries, taking care of the patients, fulfilling their needs, etc. But it has been seen that most of the time nurses get rude with there patients and also with other medical staff as well. We all know that this duty is very challenging but it is there a duty to maintain a peaceful environment around the patients. They need to spend some quality time with there patients, try to interact with them, fulfill their current needs, be someone with whom they can share there pain and happiness, etc. These things help the patients to recover fast and if they are taken care of perfectly then it will help them in recovering. Incidents of incivility can affect the patients very badly. Moreover, taking out your stress and anger on your patience is not justify as patients are there to recover from there operations and surgeries not for tolerating this incivility. To reduce the level of incivility the hospital administration should take this topic very seriously and warm every nurse and medical staff to talk to there patients calmly and any more incident of incivility should not be tolerated in the hospital and whosoever tries to do that in the hospital then strict action should be taken against them.
