In an Organisation, For the growth and development, Entrepreneur must schedule time to time training and development of the employees,so that they can able to adopt new technologies as well as new machines etc. In training and development, Employees get updates regarding new technologies and machines and know how they work. So, they can easily adopt the new technologies for efficient and effective work.

MEANING OF TRAINING-

Training refers to the skill enhancement process for the employees, labour etc for the particular jobs.

MEANING OF DEVELOPMENT-

Development refers to the process or program held by the Entrepreneur, for the increment of skills, knowledge and growth of employees, labour for the managerial jobs and for all the aspects.

OBJECTIVES OF TRAINING:-

  • Training first objective is to give information and knowledge about their jobs for the correct and efficient work.
  • Training second objective, is to give skills to the workers systematically, by which the workers can easily able to grab the new technologies and can learn easily.
  • Training third objectives, is to give or provide knowledge about coordination, so that the workers can change their attitude towards the other workers, Supervisor and the Organisation. By Coordinating, workers can change their mind, and will work with unity and when they work with coordination, they will work effectively and efficiently for the Organisation.
  • To reduce the number of accidents, giving the knowledge about how to handle the machines and equipment safetly and it will reduce the number of accidents as well as the wastage of Resources and time.
  • By give advance skills, they can adopt new technologies and be smart and get their promotions fast.

IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING-

  • HIGHER PRODUCTION AND PRODUCTIVITY - For higher production and productivity, Organisation must need time to time training of Employees, labours etc. So, they can able to grab the new updates about technology and machines and from this knowledge, they can work efficiently with the machines and give more production with less wastage.
  • QUALITY IMPROVEMENT- Customers want their product satisfaction, and become so conscious about it. So, there is need of formation of product which will meet the requirements of customers and satisfy them. So, to qualify the product standards, the product must be continuously improved through training of workers.
  • REDUCTION OF TIME - By giving regular training, employees can work efficiently with the machines etc. So, the regular training of workers, give them knowledge of using machines efficiently, and without wastage of time and resource.
  • SAFETY - By time to time training, they give knowledge to workers about how to handle machines and its equipments safetly. So, it can reduce the accidents and wastage of resources and arise safety in the work enviornment. Trained workers also know how to use various use of safety devices in the factory, therefore they are less prone to accidents.
  • CONFIDENCE - Training gives the feeling of self confidence in the mind of the workers, which give them security at the workplace which reduce the absentism rates.
  •   TECHNOLOGICAL UPDATES - By training as we know, it provides the updates of necessary technology to the employees and workers. So, it will help workers to adopt new technology when needed easily.
  • EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT - By training, skills and knowledge of workers increases and it gives workers a sense of using machines and to do work with less wastage of resources and time. It will help in reducing the cost of supervision etc, which increase the productivity of organisation and it will lead to effective management.
