Expert Solution

In any situation problems are usual. It may arise because of various reason. We have to solve those problems depends on the situation it has been arise.

In the first case, during the discussion with the managers, I have different opinion and ideas on the company's recent decision. In this situation, I will explain my opinion in a polite way with the exact statistical points about the issues. For this discussion purpose, I will arrange a group discussion with the managers.

[ Group discussion is a process where a set of individuals come together to discuss about a problem, exchange the ideas, thoughts and information for a final decision ]

Take for example, the company has decided to reduce the 5% of their employees salary and the employees are not accepting this decision. Then, it is mandatory to discuss with the group of higher authorities. So I will project my points in order to save the employees financial health and the job satisfaction.

In first case, What will be my arguments regarding this issue ?

If suppose, the company reduces 5% of the employees salary, then it will definitely affect the employees financial health. Also, it will leads to the following,

  • Decreased motivation
  • Increased attrition
  • Decreased morale
  • Poor quality of work
  • Lesser commitments
  • Lack of interest
  • Lack of meaningful work

If suppose, the employees have started to feel that, their salary is not worth for their occupation, then definitely, it will lead to the decline in productivity.

In the second case, decision has to be taken on the individual and the organization based on the problem.

If suppose, the organization receives multiple negative comments about an employee and the organization's policies, then it is always better to conduct a 360 degree employee feedback.

[ 360 degree employee feedback is a system or process in which an organization can receive confidential and anonymous feedback from the employees who work around the organization ]

Benefits of 360 degree feedback :

  • Constructs confidence
  • Increases self awareness
  • Helps for culture and openness of the organization
  • Reduces employee turnover
  • Retain the experienced employees
  • Helps to address the employee grievances
  • Increases the responsibility of both the employees and the organization.

So, it is always better to conduct a 360 degree feedback to know about the individual employees as well as the organization.
