Mr. Brown has been transfused multiple times by the blood bank and he is now going to the operating room for a surgical procedure. A sample is sent to the blood bank for a type and screen and crossmatch for two units of blood. The technologist takes a look at Mr. Brown’s historical data to see if he has a history of antibodies or any special instructions. He does have a history of anti-Jka from 1996, however his antibody screen is now negative and has been for the past 10 years.
