Personality tests are often used in personnel selection. Which test would you use when selecting personnel if you were a human resources manager, and why?

PERSONALITY TEST:
A Person's perspective on his surroundings is his pesonality. By this only he understands others, situations, opportunities etc.,, The process of testing this personality is called personality test.
If i'm a human resource manager i would like to conduct emotional intelligence test to the candidates.
WHY I SELECTED THIS?
Emotional intelligence test is the process of understanding others emotions and give intelligent reactions to that emotion. An emotional intelligence person can communicate others easily and he can survive under any type of condition. He can use his abilities to growup of the company, so i selected this test to pesonnel selection
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE:
The ability to understand others emotions and give intelligence reaction to others emotions is called Emotional intelligence.
There are 5 components of emotional intelligence:
1.Self - Awareness
2. Self regulation
3. Social skills
4. Empathy
5. Motivation
1.SELF AWARENESS:
This is the process of monitoring , understanding our emotions with out using defence mechanism. After that we understands that how others receiving our emotions towards them. Capacity of recognizing the own strenghts and limitations is comes under self awareness.This is the essential part in emotional intelligence.
2.SELF REGULATION:
Self awareness is the understanding process following that Self regulation is regulating process. It is the ability to regulate and manage our emotions in critical situations. It is the process of waiting for right time, place and avenue to express our emotion.
3.SOCIAL SKILLS:
Ability to interact with others is a crucial part in emotional intelligence. Active listening, verbal communication skills, nonverbal communication skills , leadership are comes under social skills. Best interpersonal relationships, conncetion with employees are results of social skills
4.EMPATHY:
It is the ability to understand others emotions. In this process we not only observe others actions but also think reason for their action. Based on that we starts conversation and behaves with others.
5.MOTIVATION:
This is the key role in emotional intelligence. People who are emotionally intelligent are motivated by things like fame, money, recognition etc.,,They set for goals and always looking for ways to do better. They are very committed and are good at taking the initiative.
A person who is good at above mentioned skills helps company to reach goals. So specially i selected emotional intelligence test.
